To the citizens of Erie County:
Thank you for the support that I received over the last several months and especially for the support that I was shown at the polls on primary election day. This process has been a very humbling and gratifying experience. I am very honored to have been selected as the Democratic nominee for the office of Erie County Sheriff.
A special thanks to all those individuals who assisted in any way during the campaign and to those who served on the Sigsworth for Sheriff campaign committee. I would also like to personally thank my wife, Kathleen, and children, Lexie and Sam, for their patience during this process.
Paul A. Sigsworth
Welcome to my website. For over twenty-eight years, I have been honored to serve you as a member of the Erie County Sheriff's Office. I have worked my way up through the agency's ranks as a deputy sheriff in various assignments. In my current assignment as the agency's Operations Officer, I supervise the professional men and women of your Sheriff's Office who serve as dispatchers, road patrol deputies, and detectives. I also serve as second-in-command of the agency and am responsible for the entire agency's operation in the absence of the Sheriff. As you may be aware, Sheriff Terry Lyons has chosen not to seek re-election and has announced that he is retiring at the end of the current term. With Sheriff Lyons' endorsement, I am running as a Democratic candidate and seeking the party's nomination for the position of Erie County Sheriff in the March 2012 primary election.
I would be humbled and further honored to be elected as your next Erie County Sheriff. If elected, I would continue to strive to ensure that Sheriff's Office services are provided with integrity and in an honest, ethical, and straightforward fashion. I ask for your prayers, your support, and--ultimately--your vote.
